$100,000 Dania Beach Stakes is 2yo turfing feature at Gulfstream this Sunday

Gulfstream Park has the Dania Beach Stakes this Sunday!

Gulfstream Park has a $100,000, 2yo turfer on tap as the feature this Sunday in the Dania Beach Stakes, for the 2yo boys, going just a “mile” out on the Gulfstream turf!

A field of 11 youngsters is coming out for this 2-turn turfing tussle with some names you just might remember from this year’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf  field in Finale, Coalport and Excaper who finished 2nd that day.

Italo and Burning Time, both off a 1-2 finish in the recently run Arthur I. Appleton Juvenile Turf run at Calder are here to test their turfing talents, as well!

So below is this 11-horse field for Sunday’s Dania Beach Stakes,

Free Past Performances

By Posts, Horses and M/L Odds,

1. Csaba - 12/1

2. Excaper - 5/1

3. Empire Builder - 12/1

4. Brother Pat - 20/1

5. Burning Time - 12/1

6. Vee One Rotate - 12/1

7. Coalport -  6/1

8. Finale - 3/1

9. Summer Front - 4/1

10. Italo - 8/1

11. Starforce - 11/1

Post time will be 4:45 pm est!

Finale carrys 122 lbs, Burning time and Summer Front will carry 120 lbs with everyone else carrying 116 lbs!

Our picks would be, 2,8,10,5 box’d exacta with 9,7 in a super!

So this the 2nd time this race has been run this year as Gulfstream’s early opening this season is making that possible!

It should be well worth the $100,000 purse to see these budding turfers come out and run in what has annually been a 3yo turfing firster each season here at Gulfstream Park!
