Game On Dude to defend $1,500,000 GII Charles Town Classic Title – Post Positions, Picks, M/L Odds, Free Past Performances

GameOnDude - taking home $1,000,000 for his GII Charles Town Classic win last out!

Game On Dude – taking home $1,000,000 for his 2013 GII Charles Town Classic win last year!

Late this Saturday evening, Game On Dude , will return to the Charles Town Races to defend his 2013 title in the $1,500,000, GII Charles Town Classic, for 4yo and up, going 3-turns, at 1 1/8 mile around the Charles Town Races 6f main track, where $1,000,000 is guaranteed to the winner.

Free Past Performances,

Game On Dude , who spoiled the expected reenactment of last fall’s GI B/C Classic stretch duel between Will Take Charge and Mucho Macho Man by running off and hiding in a priceless front running effort last out in the GI Santa Anita Hcp, winning by 1 3/4 length and run in a very sharp 1:58 flat as the old boy did have, at least 1 more big race left in him! He had a strange trip here last year, craving out strangely slow early factions, then almost getting gunned down at the line by Ron the Greek to his inside and Clubhouse Ride, on his outside! As usual, The Dude will have to have it all his own way early or it will be a long flight back to sunny California!

Moreno , who bumped out of last weekend’s GII Oaklawn Hcp to be here is probably best known for his nose lose to Will Take Charge in last year’s GI Travers Stakes tussle but has not been out since a poor 10th in that same GI B/C Classic last fall! Tends to like it up front early too!

Clubhouse Ride, who spent most of 2013 looking at Game On Dude‘s backside coming 2nd behind him 3 times in row in one stretch but was closing on him here late last year. Stalker/closer type, that just can’t seem to catch Game On Dude.

Long River , by A.P Indy out of an Awesome Again mare, had an injury plagued 3yo season last year but found his racing feet again by last fall clicking off 3 straight wins before losing, by a neck, in the GIII Excelsior Stakes at Aqueduct last out. He a stalker pouncer type with a lot of mojo working for this true up and comer. He could surprise here big time!

Imperative , is another California older horse who’s coming along on the plane ride east this Saturday evening. 2 back he finished 2nd ahead of Game On Dude , in the GII San Antonio Stakes but was a distant 7th, 17 lengths back of Game On Dude , last out in that same GI S/A Hcp! Tends to want lay back early!

Ruler of Love , was 4th in the Challenger Stakes at Tampa Bay last out as he is mostly a mid-western, middle distance runner at the stakes and graded stakes levels where he has enjoy only very modest successes of late. Tends to like it up front early and will help keep an honest pace here!

Lucy’s Bob Boy , is most definitely the local favor here this Saturday evening as he is 23-17-3-0 over this short 6f oval with multiple Stakes wins over this surface, as well! Loves the front early too, but he’s probably not in the same class here, but the Charles Town faithful will probably splash a little cash on their hometown boy here!

So, 7 will go 3-turns here on late Saturday evening, say about 10:30 pm-ish, in the $1.5 million GII Charles Town Classic where the winner goes home with a cool million “guaranteed“!

11, 3yos will go postward into GIII Coolmore/Lexington Stakes – Post Positions, Picks, M/L Odds, Free Past Performances

This is opening weekend at Keeneland Fall meeting this Saturday and Sunday with 6 "Win and You're In" races on tap!

It’s one last lap around the Keeneland polytrack for the 3yo’s in Saturday’s GIII Coolmore/Lexington Stakes!

The 2014 Derby Trail makes one final stop this Saturday as it pulls into Keeneland for the $200,000, GIII Coolmore/Lexington Stakes for 3yo’s, going 1 1/16 mile out on the Keeneland poly track.

Free Past Performances,

The Churchill fathers have designated this race to be a “Wildcard” race with 10-4-2-1 derby points awarded to the top 4 finishers here this Saturday!

Mr Speaker, and Poker Player, would seem to be on their way to 3yo turfing careers with limited poly track and dirt abilities.

Ami’s Holiday , was a last out 3rd in the $125k Display Stakes at Woodbine in early Dec. as this race looks a lot a prep for the Queensplate later this summer at Woodbine!

Solitary Ranger , met with modest success at Turfway Park this season, but was 9th by 14 lengths last out in the GIII Spiral Stakes

Divine Oath , is undefeated in 2 lifetime starts at G/P defeating Ring Weekend in his Mdn win there!

Global Strike , was 6th last out in that big GIII Sunland Derby as he did no late punch that day!

Supermonic , winner of a Keeneland 1x alw 1 1/6 mile poly tussle here just a few days ago will do the quick turn around here!

Z Lucky Dynamic Impact Ride Away , and Morning Calm , round out this field of 11, as all of them are but mdn winners, expect Ride Away, who sports a Tampa Bay alw win, as well!

So, as the last runner crosses the finish line here in the GIII Coolmore/Lexington Stakes this Saturday, the book will be closed on the 2014 Derby Trail season as all eyes will now turn towards Louisville, Churchill Downs, and the 2014 Triple Crown season beginning with the 140th “Run for the Roses” in the $2,000,000, GI Kentucky Derby presented by Yum Brands on Saturday, May 3rd!
